I loved her first...

From the time I was old enough to be thinking about getting married, I thought about the song I wanted to dance with my daddy to. When I heard, "I loved her first," I knew that was the right one. I told people it was written for me. Talks about red heads, daddy's praying for the husband, and how the daddy loved the little girl first, so he better watch out! That's my song.

Well now that I have children, I think about it all the time. When I watch the mother/son dance, I think about Noah. I think about what he's going to say to me at his wedding. I wonder what song he's going to choose. I really hope he chooses "Rainbow Connection." Not the kermit the frog edition, the one I heard at a wedding once.
